Bottles, Sizing & Fit
What bottle sizes do your wine boxes fit?
We build for 1 to 12 bottles per box. Standard formats include 750 ml Bordeaux and Burgundy, 375 ml icewine, champagne and sparkling, 1.5 L magnum, and 3 L. Boxes can be single-bottle presentation cases or multi-bottle sets.
Can you make a box for an odd-shaped or oversized bottle?
Yes. Internal dimensions, yokes, and inserts are made to your bottle. Send the bottle's dimensions or ship us a sample and we'll design the cavity around it.
Do you make boxes for spirits and RTD, not just wine?
Yes. Whisky, spirits, and ready-to-drink formats use the same box-joint construction and the same customization options — single or multi-bottle.
What are yokes and handle options?
Yokes are shaped internal supports that hold each bottle in place so it doesn't shift in transit. Handle options (available on selected styles) turn the box into a carry-friendly gift presentation.
Can you add inserts or dividers for glasses or accessories?
Yes. We design inserts, yokes, and dividers to position bottles, glassware, corkscrews, cards, and other accessories within the box.
Construction & Finishes
How are the boxes built?
Box-joint construction — no staples or nails. Sliding lids are CNC-cut with rounded corners so they glide, and the base is inset into a glued groove, roughly doubling rigidity versus a stapled bottom — which matters under the weight of full bottles.
What wood and packing material do you use?
Select Eastern White Pine, Ontario's arboreal emblem. Boxes are packed with wood excelsior, a natural aspen-fibre cushioning material.
What finishes can I choose?
Natural Pine (unfinished), an oil finish in Natural, Antique Pine, or Walnut (eco-friendly, non-toxic, adds a light layer of protection), or an aniline stain (water-based, rustic look, no added protection). Most clients are happy with natural unfinished pine.
Which finish works best with branding?
Hot-stamp branding cauterizes the wood, so it takes oil or stain without bleeding. Laser engraving cuts the wood and is generally left unstained. Darker finishes reduce the contrast of your logo against the wood.
Branding & Artwork
How do you brand wine boxes?
A 20-ton hot-stamp press debosses your artwork directly into the wood for a clean, permanent impression. For small runs, sequential numbering (e.g. 14/100), or added names, laser engraving is the better choice — no die charge and lower setup.
What artwork file do you need?
A one-colour (black) vector file — EPS, Illustrator, or PDF — with all text converted to curves/outlines. Avoid greyscale, colour gradients, and drop shadows. A high-resolution JPEG can work for laser engraving. See the Art Requirements page for full specs.
Will I see a proof before production?
Yes. We email a branding or laser-engraving layout for your approval before anything goes into production.
Pricing, Ordering & Delivery
What is the minimum order?
12 boxes.
How do I get a price?
For standard boxes in the catalogue, use the Build and Price estimator for an immediate quote. For custom projects, call us for a no-obligation consultation. The estimator is generally accurate; a repeat order with a branding die already on file may come in lower than quoted.
Do you offer volume discounts?
Yes, applied automatically per box style: 12–99 boxes, no discount; 100–249, 5%; 250 or more, 10%.
How fast can I get them?
Standard sliding-lid boxes are usually in stock and ship within a few days. Add a few weeks if branding, laser engraving, or oiling is required. Include your required delivery date with your request and we'll confirm a schedule; rush production may be available depending on capacity.
Will I receive the exact quantity I order?
Standard wine boxes: exact quantities, no overruns. Non-standard (custom) boxes: a maximum overrun of 5% may be shipped and invoiced.
Can I buy a sample first?
Yes — you can purchase a sample of any standard, in-stock box. For custom projects we can produce a prototype or pre-production unit; setup charges may apply.
Do you ship to the United States?
Yes. We ship to the USA and our Canadian-made boxes qualify for duty-free entry into the U.S. where applicable under current trade requirements.
Need Something Else?
I need packaging that isn't a bottle box.
